Sing Out Sydney 2017

In 2017, Sing Australia were lucky to have their registration accepted to participate in this year’s Sing Out Sydney event hosted by ABC Radio 1. Twenty three lucky members of Sing Australia Ashbury, Collaroy, Gordon and Sutherland will be attending the event as a collective choir representing Sing Australia. They will join a mass choir of around 600 people coming from other Sydney community choirs to celebrate Ausmusic Month.

While other choirs will be performing in their own right, all participants will come together as one for a grand finale, singing a specially-arranged version of Nick Cave’s “The Ship Song” in four parts. The Sing Australia choir were unfortunately not selected to perform in their own right for this event.

ABC Radio will be recording Sing Out Sydney and will be playing highlights on Weekend Breakfast with Simon Marnie on Saturday 18 November at 11am; and on Evenings with Chris Bath, Wednesday 22 November 8-9pm.
