TADDS Community Connect Expo

TADDS (Texas & District Drought Support)
‘TADDS was formed in response to the need for assistance and support for farmers, businesses, contractors, families and households on BOTH sides of the Qld/NSW border, due to the ongoing drought. We now hope to support the ENTIRE border community.
The TADDS Hub has been created to provide a welcoming place for the entire community to help battle mental health issues, social isolation and loneliness, access computer and phone assistance, second-hand clothing and items, book exchange, and trading table.’
SA Texas has been invited to sing at the TADDS Expo. This will be a great opportunity for us to not only entertain the attendees, but also to share information about our Group to potential new members, and demonstrate the many health, connection and well-being benefits that being part of a singing group provides for all ages of the Community. We will be singing a few brackets in between Guest Speakers and we will also have Flyers available with information about Sing Australia, times, place & contacts for our Texas Group. We will be singing from Songs Around the Piano Books 3 & 4. The event is being held at the Texas Memorial Hall which is where we hold our weekly practices, so we will also be able to use the beautiful piano that we use every week & played by our accompanist Kath. We will wear full uniform. No perceived risks.
