Ararat

An annual event held at Gardenview Court, respite care hostel. Members of the Ararat group will sing a selection of Christmas Carols to the residents from 2.00pm.

Sing Australia Ararat will participate in a fundraiser for the Royal Children's Hospital Good Friday appeal on Friday 28th March at the Ararat RSL. We will be one of many acts performing on the night. We will sing songs from Songs around the piano Book 1 for about 15-20 minutes.

Our group will join Santa (Sing Australia member, Carl Forshaw) to bring Christmas Cheers to the shoppers at the Ararat Market on Sunday 11th December from 10.30am - Noon.

Our group will join with member Roni Manneke-Jones (now a resident at Gardenview Court) to enjoy and afternoon of Christmas Carols.

Sing Australia Ararat will join with the Ararat City Band to lead Carols by Candlelight at Alexandra Gardens. We missed the last 2 years due to COVID and are looking forward to everyone getting together and join in with the many other performers on the night. A fireworks display end the evening.

Sing Australia Ararat will join with other performers in the Community Carols in the garden. Our members will be under a marquee, providing protection from weather. No perceived risks.

Sing Australia Ararat have been invited to sing Carols at the last market day before Christmas. It is a good opportunity for members of the community to hear us sing and maybe ask about joining. The members will be indoors and there is no perceived risk.

Sing Australia Ararat has been invited to join with the Anglican choir to celebrate the Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols. Members will be singing at the Holy Trinity Anglican Church and if directed by the Church, members can wear face masks for COVID risk management.

Sing Australia Ararat has been invited to sing Carols with Santa (one of our members, Carl Forshaw), who has been fundraising for Save the Children for 30 years. We will be in the main shopping area and no risks perceived.

To bring the joy of singing and music to the residents of aged care facility at Lowe Street. The residents have always responded well to our visits, even if they can no longer use speech. The aged care facility at Lowe St. has invited members of the Ararat group to run our practice session at their venue. We will abide by their strict health regulations regarding COVID or other outbreaks. We do not anticipate any risk to our members.
